When you have dancers dancing at very fast paste, and inside a dark place, its all about getting the right moment, otherwise they are all over the place. What do you think?. You agree?

  1. I completely agree. There are multiple challenges. The lighting in the area would be low to create the ambience. The crowd movement and obviously the dancers themselves. So it’s very important to get your shutter speed right to match the speed with which the dancers are moving and also to get the ISO up to the precise levels and most importantly the right angle and lots of patience to get the right shot !

  2. Choosing the right moment is the key Salim, at 1/45sec any movement would ruin the shot; a well anticipated shot.

    • Exactly, now imagine I used a leica which has MANUAL focusing. I had to use zone focus technique and it was the most difficult shot. But i think I managed eventually

  3. Well, I say you did a pretty good job. I’ve been in this situation, and it didn’t work out for me 🙁 BTW, I’ve been to Turkey 3 times. It’s the most visually stimulating place ever imo.

  4. also at the setting you have mentioned, the most important thing is to anticipate the pause from the dancers and release the shutter.
